Sad news about the passing of Saxophonist Elton Dean a towering figure on the UK improv circuit as well playing with the Soft machine band he would feature with the Jazz Rumours musicians in stoke newington etc. an engaging and encouraging personality with a good sense of humour.That's the second giant of the scene to go recently guitarist Derek Bailey being the first around christmas.
